Stephen Turcotte founded Backbone Media, Inc. in 1996. As one of the first Internet firms to specialize in search engine positioning, Backbone provides, social media marketing and website development results for large and small companies. With over sixteen years of experience in the Internet marketing industry, Stephen continues to pioneer techniques that combine web development technology with online marketing strategies to drive qualified traffic and sales. Prior to Backbone Media, in 1994, Stephen Co Founded Music Interactive, an online music community, acquired by Hal Leonard Publishing in 1996. Stephen is a frequent presenter to local audiences on the topic of search engine marketing. Stephen is a founding member of the Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization (SEMPO), former Chair of the SEMPO B-to-B Subcommittee and a member of the Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange (MITX) CEO Roundtable Content Committee.
