Marketers will get indigestion from too much technology
Marketers will find between 10 and 20 software solutions in their marketing technology stack – and that’s for a small company. Larger companies will have many more solutions. And no one will be able to tell them exactly how these systems really work. And they’ll realize they’re greatly underutilizing the software they have and not getting the value out of it that they expect to.
CMOs will need to truly take ownership of the marketing technology stack and build a marketing technology roadmap. They will need to focus on how the software they have can support the overall marketing strategy and then work on process and change management to get real value out of the software they already have.
