Those marketers who are unable to evolve their skills from that of what I call arts and crafts party planners are going to fall by the wayside as the demand for marketers with digital, analytical, and content skills continues to be more acute. This also means that the new marketing blood represented by the skills needed now and in the future are going to be making a lot more money as they will be more in demand. And if university marketing programs continue to crank more and more Don Drapers, this will continue.
